Nearing Thanksgiving. Here's a picture of the fish I made at a workshop this fall. I enjoyed doing it.Wish I could share it with my family.

Holidays can be hard. I have a 28 year old daughter who got angry at me 8 years ago and has remained pretty cutoff since then. I have even apologized for what I didn't know I did. Mother-daughter estrangement is a strange thing. I see it in my work, too. Mothers who gave their hearts and hardest efforts for their daughters who, around 17-20 turn their backs on their Moms. Seem to hate them for unknown reasons. Most kids come back, but some keep carrying real and imagined slights long into adulthood. It is heartbreaking to the moms, but no amount of tears, cards, letters or apologies make a difference. What are the daughters benefiting from the cutoff? Can anyone tell me?

First shot

At the office. Gotta run home to watch the debates. Saw (name not spoken) this morning promising everything to her crowd--think she even included Christmas Cookies delivered to your door. No one seems to question her. Hope we have not turned into Lemmings.
